Meet the Attorney

  • JOHN RAUL ANTIA

    Managing Attorney

  • About the Attorney

John Raul Antia was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois.

He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law in 2013 (formerly, The John Marshall Law School).

Prior to becoming an attorney, he earned his Master of Arts in Latin American and Caribbean Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), and his Bachelor of Arts in Teaching of History from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).

As an educator, he learned the powerful impact the study of history can have on our personal and community identities, and how current events are best understood when there is knowledge and context of the past.

As a law student, John continued to finetune his professional and personal skillsets, and developed meaningful relationships with non-profits, churches, and other local-area legal aid organizations that helped to provide equal access to our legal system.

Now, John is the managing attorney at the Antia Law Office, LLC, concentrating in Immigration and Nationality Law. He has built a law practice around the goal of bringing and keeping families together, maintaining connections and relationships with the immigrant community, and by advocating for public policies that account for our country’s history, moral fabric, and identity as a nation of immigrants.
